TTi TSX Series Bench/System silent DC Power Supply with mixed-mode regulation
The TSX Series power supplies offer precision and simplicity with analogue controls and high-resolution digital meters, providing accurate voltage and current settings. They feature a hybrid regulator design for low noise and excellent performance, suitable for various general-purpose applications. The fan-free, compact design is ideal for bench or rack mounting. The TSX-P model adds enhanced usability with a third auxiliary display, remote programmability, and comprehensive bus interfaces, making it perfect for repetitive testing and automated systems.
The TSX model is designed to offer precision with simplicity, featuring conventional analog controls. The coarse and fine voltage controls allow for fast and precise setting, while a semi-logarithmic current control ensures accurate adjustments across the current range. Its fan-free operation guarantees a noise-free bench environment, making it ideal for a variety of general-purpose applications.
All TSX models are equipped with high-resolution digital meters for both voltage and current. This allows users to set voltage and current levels with high accuracy before connecting to the load. The limit settings can be checked at any time, and a damping switch for the current meter provides accurate readings of rapidly changing currents.
The TSX Series power supplies utilise an innovative regulator design combining switch mode pre-regulation with linear post-regulation. This hybrid approach significantly reduces common-mode noise, typically associated with switch mode PSUs, while the linear post-regulator ensures very low output noise, excellent load regulation, and fast transient response. The result is performance that rivals pure linear designs.
The TSX power supplies can operate in both constant voltage and constant current modes with automatic crossover and mode indication. They also feature full overvoltage protection with a variable OVP trip to safeguard against regulator failure, ensuring the output remains protected.
The hybrid regulator design of the TSX Series results in a smaller and lighter power supply compared to competitors. Its high thermal efficiency allows for fan-free operation, enhancing its suitability for quiet bench environments. The compact case, which is half rack width and 3U height, is ideal for both bench and rack mounting, with output terminals available at both the front and rear.
The TSX-P model offers all the features of the TSX, plus additional ease-of-use functions and full remote programmability. It includes a third auxiliary display for clarity, showing all keyboard entries before they are actioned, ensuring precise settings. The TSX-P allows for direct keypad entry of voltage and current levels with high resolution, or the use of a rotary control for a more traditional analog feel.
The TSX-P includes a wide array of digital bus interfaces: GPIB (optional), USB, RS-232, and LAN (Ethernet) with LXI support, meeting various application needs. These interfaces allow for full control of voltage, current, and other functions via a connected system, making the TSX-P highly versatile for both bench and automated test systems.
Additional features of the TSX-P include a watts display, non-volatile storage of up to 25 settings, and delta-mode control for easy adjustment of voltage and current. These functionalities make it invaluable for repetitive testing in production, development, or inspection environments.
The TSX Series provides high power, precision, and versatile control in a compact, noise-free package, ideal for a wide range of laboratory and general-purpose applications.
